Bagels on the Hill is a family-owned bagel shop in Landing, NJ that's been serving the community since 1991. Open as early as 5am, they run a high-volume, fast-paced operation — fresh bagels every morning, a full breakfast and lunch menu, and a loyal local following that keeps the line moving from the moment the doors open. When they came to SeedTech, they had no technology infrastructure to speak of. No managed support, no proper POS setup, and no real digital presence. For a business that moves as fast as a bagel shop at 6am, the wrong tech — or no tech — is a real problem. SeedTech became their full technology partner, handling everything from a custom website with Square POS integration and professional photography and video, to in-store digital menu displays and ongoing managed support for their point-of-sale environment. Bagels on the Hill had the reputation, the product, and the loyal customer base — but no technology infrastructure to match. There was no cohesive online presence, no integrated POS system, and no way for customers to place orders digitally or see the menu clearly in-store. For a shop running before sunrise six days a week, any friction in the customer experience or the order flow has a direct impact on the morning rush. Our Solution
A Complete Technology Buildout for a Food Service Operation
SeedTech designed and built a custom website for Bagels on the Hill and integrated it directly with Square POS — so online orders flow seamlessly into the same system the counter staff uses. We set up two Square Stand registers and a dedicated tablet for monitoring incoming online orders, and configured their entire Square environment from scratch. In-store, we installed and configured digital signage displays for their menu boards — giving the shop a clean, modern look while making it easy to update pricing and items without printing anything. SeedTech also produced custom photography and video for the brand, giving the website and marketing materials a visual identity that matches the quality of the food. ISP coordination through Optimum Business keeps the whole environment connected, and SeedTech manages the network and POS configuration on an ongoing basis.
